Hint Guide

This is my first attempt at a hint guide - I was inspired by Doug Ingram's excellent Hint Guide to Riven, which helped me out greatly without revealing any more than I needed to know. I have followed his example here - answers are revealed very slowly but I have included all the answers if you just can't work something out.

If you are after a walkthru, where you are lead through someone else's game experience, then I found a beautifully designed web page out there. Check out Sinjin's Guide to the Ages. Otherwise, make sure you visit this page after you have finished the game - it's really well done.

I found Riven more difficult overall than Myst III and will be interested to find out the opinion of others. You can let me know in the Guestbook.

You already know the blurb about really sticking with the game before going for hints - I am hoping you are here because you've been stuck for at least a day or you have a whole afternoon free to play but can't get past one thing.

Click on the picture below for the Age where you are stuck.

Cheers

Michelle

The very first world, where Catherine natters on endlessly at you (I got really choppy sound here but it was one of only a few places where that occurred so I let it go - she obviously doesn't say anything too important because I still finished the game).

This world would be a paradise if you were into base jumping or rock climbing. The landscape includes huge tusk-like buildings and many viewing posts. I needed one hint to complete a puzzle in this age but felt I really could have worked it out.

Tracks and glass balls, tracks and glass balls..... I found this the most frustrating age with some of the most difficult puzzles ever. Then I got to the wonderful completion of this world and now think it is the best ever....

Green trees and funky lifts.....

My least favourite age in Myst III. I just plodded through this one.... backtracked alot but pretty steadily made my way through the puzzles. No scenes really blew me away like in other ages.
